About us
A Growing Team. One Shared Mission.
Provisions of Hope was founded on the belief that healing is possible for everyone — and that access to compassionate, culturally responsive care should never be a barrier. We are a virtual practice dedicated to walking alongside adults, couples, and families as they navigate life's most challenging moments. We also partner with organizations and companies to provide mediation, mental wellness support, and conflict resolution services that help teams thrive.
Our mission
Providing Hope, One Session at a Time
We chose our name intentionally. Hope isn't something we hand you — it's something we help you rediscover. At Provisions of Hope, we show up as real people who genuinely care about your well-being. Through therapy, mediation, and consultation, we walk with you through the hard stuff — the anxiety, the conflict, the transitions — and help you find your footing again. We also work directly with organizations and companies to provide mediation, mental wellness support, and conflict resolution, because healthy workplaces start with people who feel heard. Every session is a space where you are seen, respected, and reminded that where you are right now is not where you have to stay.
Compassion
We meet every client with warmth, empathy, and a genuine desire to help — no judgment, no agenda.
Equity
We are committed to culturally responsive care that honors the full complexity of each person's identity and experience.
Empowerment
We don't just help you cope — we help you build the insight, tools, and confidence to thrive beyond our sessions.

LCSW
Kanisha Johnson
Co-Founder | Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Kanisha Johnson is a Co-Founder of Provisions of Hope, LLC, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 9 years of clinical experience helping adults, families, and couples navigate life's challenges with compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based care. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, mood-related concerns, relationship difficulties, family conflict, or major life transitions, she provides a supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered. Kanisha also specializes in conflict resolution and mediation — helping individuals and families work through difficult conversations and disputes with clarity, respect, and a path forward.
Her therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). In her mediation work, she creates a structured, neutral space where all parties feel safe to speak and be heard. Together, you'll build practical coping strategies, strengthen communication skills, improve emotional regulation, and foster healthier relationships — both in your personal life and beyond.
